Following the bankruptcy of the meineimpfungen.ch foundation, over 5 million datasets concerning people across all of Switzerland – including data validated by medical professionals – are under threat and at risk of being destroyed. People who backed the digital transformation now no longer have access to their data. SteHAG therefore cannot accept the proposal to destroy these data without compensation. SteHAG has joined forces with several leading figures from health care, politics and administration to advocate for one final attempt to rescue these data. A pilot project clarified how this is possible. Now, the technical requirements are being reviewed as part of the main project.

The return of data from myvaccines.ch started on 29 April 2024. Owners of vaccination dossiers will be informed by email in May 2024 about how they can edit their data. The vaccination data can be downloaded, transferred to an existing electronic patient file or permanently deleted. The return period runs until 30 June 2024, after which all data will be permanently deleted from myvaccines.ch.
